This is just one of those “must see” and “must play” golf courses. Stone Canyon has developed a beautiful website that is next to being there---informative.
Mr. Jay Morrish developed this masterpiece and with the Tortolita Mountain’s dramatic setting, a rich emerald carpet threads the way through very interesting rock formations and a forest of giant saguaros cacti.
The saguaro cactus only grows in Arizona and its beautiful flower is our state flower. The accordion design with thorns protect it from animals and cast its own shade throughout the day. It is everyone’s favorite desert plant.
Well, back to golf, Stone Canyon is rated by Golf Week magazine as the best residential course in any desert setting in the country.
The deluxe homes around the course are just exquisite.
Directions: from Tangerine road and Rancho Vistoso Blvd, go north on Rancho Vistoso Blvd and turn left on Morning Vista to enter Stone Canyon.
